CSDVA DRESS CODE

School Uniform Policy — 2025-2026 School Year

At CSDVA, we believe that school uniforms promote unity, minimize distractions, and foster a strong school culture. Our "One
Falcon" initiative ensures that all students present themselves in a manner that reflects our values of respect, pride, and academic
focus. Effective Date: First day of the 2025-2026 school year. Applies to All CSDVA students, grades K–8
Uniform Requirements

 

Tops
● Long or short sleeve gray, black or white polo shirt.
● Solid gray, black or white sweaters, jackets, or vests are allowed.

 

Bottoms
● Solid black or khaki bottoms, including pants, jumpers, scooters, shorts and skirts.
● Not allowed: Athletic pants, spandex, yoga pants, or denim.


Footwear
● Closed-toe shoes or boots only.
● Not allowed: Crocs, sandals, or any open-toe shoes.
● For safety reasons, closed-toe shoes must be worn for all school activities.


Enforcement
● Students not in compliance will be sent to the office, and parents/guardians will be contacted to bring appropriate clothing.
● Failure to correct the violation may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal from CSDVA.


Common Violations to Avoid
● Shirt not tucked in.
● Wearing non-uniform tops under jackets or sweaters.
● Wearing bottoms without a belt (if belt loops are present).
● Wearing non-approved shoes (Crocs, slides, open-toe footwear).
● Hair wraps or head coverings (unless for religious purposes).
● Wearing non-approved pants (jeggings, cargo pants, leggings, jeans).


Dress Code Exceptions: If your child requires an exception for 504/IEP accommodations, religious purposes, or medical reasons,
please contact the front office for approval.
