MEET THE PRINCIPAL

Dear CSDVA Families,

It is with great enthusiasm that I write to introduce myself as the new principal of the Community School of Digital and Visual Arts (CSDVA). I am honored to join this passionate and resilient community, and I am truly excited about the opportunity to lead CSDVA into its next chapter.

My name is Cheryal Isaac, and I bring over 30 years of experience in education. Throughout my career, I have served various roles including classroom teacher, reading first coach, academic coach, district literacy specialist, project manager, and literacy consultant. These experiences have shaped my deep commitment to building a positive learning environment, supporting academic achievement, and fostering meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff.

I have had the pleasure of working with CSDVA over the past four years as a literacy consultant and have witnessed firsthand the dedication and potential of this school. I am especially inspired by CSDVA’s commitment to student success and am confident that, together, we can continue to build a school culture where every student thrives.

This year has brought many challenges, but I am thrilled to share that CSDVA’s charter has been renewed. We are now preparing with excitement and purpose for the 2025–2026 school year as we rise, rebuild, and reach higher.

I am eager to work with you to make CSDVA an even stronger and more vibrant place to learn and grow. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, ideas, or concerns. I look forward to meeting you soon and beginning this journey together.

Warm regards,

Cheryal Isaac
